with planning my move over from my 110 to a 240 gallon, im assuming I prob need to replace the Eheim heater I've been running for the last 5-7 years. I keep going back and forth between what size and if I should run dual heaters. I do have the eheim on an ink bird and its been doing great but with the expanded size and the age of that heater; thought I would get a read of what everyone runs or what I SHOULD. its heavily planted and will be running 1 fx6 -most likely adding a second. thoughts?

Rule of thumb for heaters is 2.5 to 5 watts per gallon, depending on how cold your room is 👍

Lifespan of a heater is 18 months to 3 years, so it may be time to let that one go before it fails on you.

A tank this big definitely requires multiple heaters, eheim 300s are fine or you can go with titanium heater elements that go up to 600 watts.

ALL heaters fail, definitely stay with the Inkbirds for cheap insurance 💯💯
