EDIT: Solved. I'll be buying one of the valves JayP links below, from Oase.

My Question: Does anyone know of equipment or methods for slowing flow, specifically for an Oase Filtosmart Thermo 100?

I am setting up a 45U tank for a betta fish, and I know they prefer slower flow. I do not plan on using the outflow spray bar that the filter comes with, instead I'll be using a spin-pipe.

For my Oase Biomaster on my other tank, I am able to reduce the flow by partially unlocking/locking, which closes the openings slightly. But from what I can tell the Filtosmart models don't have this, since they don't have the prefilter that the Biomaster models come with.

I have read online of some people using a ball valve or similar to control the flow. I am hoping some of the bright minds here know a good solution? Thanks!

If the livestock are happy, ie eating and active, and you are not growing BBA on the plants that are directly downstream, those are the main flags 💯

Some plants don't thrive if they're being battered about but you should be able to tell by watching them grow 👍
Ah S**t so that is why I still have BBA in a few spots.

Glad my double taps arrived this week then, so I can actually limit the flow more properly.
