We often talk about how fragile glass lily pipes are. I've only broken two of those, but today I broke my 4th (at least) drop checker. Maybe I need to start handling them more carefully like my lily pipes. It doesn't help when you're cleaning them over a granite counter top.

I always put a fluffy bath towel on the counter when working with the glass bits. It's saved me multiple times.

I used a set for years and never broke them.
Didn't probably clean them as often as I should either though....

They do sell plastic drop checkers and acrylic lily pipes if u want to play it safe . Glass does have the great looks but have to clean it all the time meh. I've broke several drop checkers and diffusers i always buy extra 1 just incase. I know I'm gonna break the glass lily pipes so I wont buy them lol. They have some nice sets of stainless with glass lilly ends for sale now look decent.

I've tried the aquario neo flow acrylic lily pipes. I wasn't a fan. In facton, I have a t least one new set still in the box I should probably offer for sale on here one of these days.

As for the new hybrid glass and SS pipes, I already have a couple sets I hope to use on scapes in the near future.

what brand ss and glass did u get? Ive been looking at them want the surface skimmer for sure as well.
