Perhaps a large Scapecrunch group purchase could be arranged if shipping to all the individuals could be worked out. Not sure if the price would be low enough to be worth the hassle of the logistics.

Buying plants (primarily Bucephalandra) from Indonesia?

Man I would sure be in to do that for some of that great orange Java fern, maybe @Dennis Wong can point us to a supplier
Inpaichthys luizae getting fat. Slightly more aggressive fish as they grow larger, but I don't see much damage even though they dart at each other frequently. H. myrmex seem to be avoiding them

I've done it a few times.
No one has outright tried to scam my money.
However, most of them will ship without a phyto certificate. So they'll just gamble whether or not the package gets sezied/inspected.
Usually they will reship it for you if it does, you do have to repay the shipping price though.
If you're lucky, sometimes another person buying it will have a phyto cert, and your order goes to them, and then they ship it to you, kinda as a favor from the seller.
Currently buying some buces from a guy in vietnam and it can be quite a hassle if the package gets inspected and refused.

dam there's so many its an addiction from hell lol. I cant look at that list I'll spend 300 in 20 min lol

There are TC replicas from China, but the farms that do produce it in larger commercial quantities are the European brands. Its been on their websites for years when I check back.
I think it didn't gained much traction because it does take a bit of effort to bring out the orange tones strongly. It needs quite regular targeted pruning so that new leaves are produced and sun tanned to get good orange tones. If just left to its own devices and older growth makes up a majority of the bush it turns mostly greenish with just hints of orange

a friend has pointed out that many of the folks providing native plants from Indonesia and other places take what they sell directly from nature and if I buy from them I’m supporting that behavior. My intention was to eliminate the “middle man”. Any of you all have a take on this you’d be willing to share?

Not in my experience. Under higher PAR more red spectrum in my display and under lower PAR more blue spectrum in my buce tank, they are both very colored up. Occasionally it will put out a plain green leaf, which I just trim off. They stay orange even when mature, I have a leaf on my mother plant that is about 18 inches long.
Yes, ask to see photos of their farm. There are plenty of sellers across Asia that have their own grow farms, or source theirs from farmers. Unfortunately the mother stock are still wild collected, and some do pay hunters for harder varieties. Know that 99% of variagated varities from Indo are wild collected, because they grow so slowly and are generally harder to propogate in a farm.
A close friend in Europe. They are readily available in Europe and Asia, both from hobbyists and in TC form. I'm not sure how many people in the US have them, other than myself. However the only way to get them here is from a hobbyist. It took me over a year to find it. My friend makes tissue cultures as a hobby, and is working on trying to get a stable set of it going. Eventually the hope is to get it available here in the US, but for now I am just propagating mine the old fashioned way in the hopes that the people I sell them to will help propogate and make them available here.
Interesting, this hasn't been my experience with it. I have had mine for better part of a year and only a few leaves have come out green. Aside from that, I do not prune it. I have propogated 5 pups from it so far, all are orange and one is going crazy with pups now and i'm going to be propagating another 5 or so off of it. My display tank with the original mother is around 100-150umols and my buce tank with the younger mother plant has not yet been tested with a PAR meter, but I doubt the PAR is over 80umols at the substrate.
Edited to add that I sourced mine from another hobbyist friend and his are from the Aquasabi TC.
Not to sound too rude, but we may have slightly different definitions of what is "orange" or "green". As in I would count the slightly less orange leaves in your displays as "green".
It's not rude at all! I understand what you mean. Yours also are more compact than mine due to the higher PAR. I do have another one higher up in the tank that has more red-tipped leaves like the one featured in your tank. Though I'd still consider them far more orange and vivid than the other "orange" varieties available in the US, like "sunrise" or "red", which really only have a pale coloration to them.
I'm lost what plant are you talking about? It can't be the lovely inpaichthys luizae since they are a fish.
@Noahspapa DM me if you are interested in buying some of my emersed bin pieces. Later tonight after my demon child goes to sleep I can send you pictures of individual species with names. I can get you a bundle of mixed species depending on what you want to spend, for example 3"x3" portion, 6"x6", etc. WYSIWYG style.
As for the Orange Narrow, I have one larger portion I am willing to part with now, but because so many people are interested and i'm not sure how to price it, I think an auction style listing is the most fair way to do it but I am waiting on mod approval.
