Well, the Rubin is toast. Absolutely no clue how to grow L. Types. The wife pressed hard and ai folded to her demand for Pogo Kimberly. She certainly knows the rules but demanded anyways. Just a few resets and a few swaps. Looks like I missed a piece on the street and will fix it in a few weeks. Trimmed the moss rock and I'm discovering I'm not a fan of Christmas moss. Seems to kill itself off under the new growth. I've never experienced this while using Java moss1000000993.webp1000000992.webp1000000989.webp.

Okay, so wow. She's growing fast. Maybe things are maturing now. Just several days from last picture.

What has happened recently? I know I haven't posted too much on the behind the scene changes. I was able to barrow a PAR meter and have set my tanks to 70PAR at the front glass substrate per Tom Barr's posts on FB. To quote, "this is much more forgiving." I went ahead and put all my tanks at these PAR values. So it's about 72 mid front and about 62 front corners. I also asked about the NBAT folks, Tom and a few others mention these values are probably similar to what they run. So why not try to mimic them?

I went back to @Burr740 Macro mix and still running his micros. I did buy his kit for micros and mixing a gallon at a time. Where ever I can lower my costs, I have too and mixing your own is cheaper. Labor in this country is crazy expensive šŸ˜†. Can't appreciate Joe having this option enough. Very cost effective.

After this scape is complete, I may try Miracle Grow for fertilizer just to see. Tom apparently is using it in one of his tanks, so why not give it a shot!

I saw your post asking about this on FB but didn't say anything about it but will here. My 180 has to be close to these numbers. I haven't officially checked them but based on what par I was getting before putting lids on and the 18% reduction with them I should be about 50-60 par. Things are not growing as extremely fast and honestly that's a good thing because double the tank size is already alot of work.

The tank looks great by the way. The shaping of that limophila aromatica is

. The only thing I see is you have alot of empty space and while that is good i think you have too much and really need that pogostomemon helferi to fill in more of that space.

Im feeling like I'm close to finishing her. Just need the Pennywort grown tall at the back right. A few shaping trims and the Porto Velho to grow grow and be shaped some way or another.
