I seem to do that all the time lol.
It takes a minute to get an "eye" for symmetry, it certainly did me. Hell it was a year before I really grasped what all those lines Bart drew on my '17 entry meant
But once you do things jumps right out

I went back (again) and read Bart's website articles (again again) and looked at the lines he drew on your scape (again again again)! Those lines have scarred me and now every scape diagram that I draw, I get symmetry anxiety! I think I'm the master of symmetry now 😁

Just a small update. Still struggling with both of these tanks a bit. Some fuzz wants to show up in the 120 and GDA in both. I'm just going to take some advice and be patient and just manage the fuzz when I need to.

@Burr740 and @gjcarew - street any better? It's not trimmed at the moment so may be kind of odd looking. 1000000803.webp1000000805.webp

Hah I know the feeling! It really was like a year before I actually "saw" what a few of them even meant. Not like I was pondering it every day or anything but it was a minute before it all made sense

What street? lol Bottom tank? Thats a good spot for it

New direction started. My schizoid embolism kicking in. I have no idea if this will work, but I'm overly ready to stop changing things. I'm almost positive I'll be ditching the dwarf lily and just try different stems. Maybe swap the Triflora for a red of some sort, not sure yet. I'll work out the spacing while I figure out the left half of the tank. Little bit of fuzz popped up on my substrate. Probably from too much substrate disruption. 1000000814.webp

I'll take the triflora and the lily off your hands if you decided to throw them out.

Sold the Dwarf lily. Still have a bolb of it and when it splits, I can send it to you. I can send you Triflora any time. For now, it remains in the tank.

Thanks to @GreggZ , I've set my lights to just below 70PAR at the front glass. I've read a few posts from Tom Barr about how much more forgiving these levels can be and when I asked him what PAR the NBAT folks might be running, he and few others agree 50 to 70PAR. So it makes sense to imitate them as best I can. We will see how it goes!

Overall, the 100 is doing okay, things are settling down as a whole, but my L. Rubin is not happy at all. For the life of me, I can't grow this plant correctly. Fingers crossed it perks up in time. I need about 1 month of growth and then will finalize all the lines. She's not the best scape, but for a fun YouTube project, I'm satisfied where she is. 1000000954.webp1000000952.webp

I’ve enjoyed your YouTube project. I always go to your subscription first to see if there’s anything new. 🙂
Thank you. We will see if it continues after the series is done. I'm leaning no, but who knows.

L. Rubin has always been finicky for me. It will go through bouts of great growth, and then just shit the bed. It for sure enjoys full light and minimal to no shading that’s for sure.
I need an alternative then. Any suggestions? I had the L Repens but it grew so darn fast.

So similarly beautiful is the Glandulosa Diamond. Buceplant always has it in stock, and it’s what’s in my tank.
I fail with that one too. Just recently tossed it from my collection. 😆
