Where to put shutoff valves

I'm finally approaching what feels like the home stretch for my first real setup. I'm currently figuring out placement of the Biomaster 2, CO2, and ARC Yugang reactor and wanted to know where folks here recommended placing shut off valves. I feel like I should have one on each side of the Yugang reactor to make removal for adjustments easier, but other than that, looking for some recommendations (and maybe reasoning too). Thanks!

Depends on how clean you want the outside of the tank to look but installing the valves like this sure does make maintenance, cleaning, and flow adjustments quite easy.

Thanks! I think I can sneak some in. The tank is on a kitchen counter and the hoses will be between the tank and wall.

I usally put them as close to the casinster filter as possible. That way when you do maintenance on the filter there isnt alot of baggage aka extra hose and stuffs. It also makes for a cleaner look.

Any reason to do that with the Biomaster? Since the hose component can be removed from the filter housing, doesn't this solve what the shutoff valves would be doing here? Maybe I'm missing something?

Yeah, this was my thought. Other filter brands also have built-in hose disconnects.

Well lets see. You'll have a set on the input side of the lilly pipes, a set on the output side of the lilly pipes, yet another set on probably the input and output of the reactor. Ideally since the tank is in the kitchen Its up to the aesthetics of the with or significant other.

Haha, yeah. I'm planning to start a journal for the tank soon. It's this awkward spot in our kitchen/living room next to the fridge and wall. Thankfully, the awkwardness allows for a pretty good job of hiding everything. All the equipment will be in the cabinet underneath.
