Benefit of homebred versus imported shrimp is you have a lower chance of getting vorticella or other fungal infections
downside is they're almost always shipped as small juveniles rather than adults, which can vanish into your tank for quite a while

I've already mentioned this to Phish Tank, but I'll also add Cluckin' Shrimp to that list. They're in Smithville, MO (KC area). He's another home breeder and has a great selection of colors. That's where my orange sunkist came from and any more Neo's I get will come from him.
Edit to add: A response from Cluckin Shrimp regarding their water parameters; "My tanks run 7.2-7.6ph 5kh and 8-9gh. Pure tap water. I do have a couple stratum substrate tanks that run 6.6ish ph and 3kh - 6-7gh."

Shrimpenvy is literally prolly 2 hrs away from you. Their caridinas are good. Never bought neocaridina from them.
In terms of coloration, buypetshrimp has the most intense orange and yellow neocaridina that I've ever bought. On expensive side though. Those shrimp also will not tend to be as hardy as the muttier neos though so be aware.

Bluecrown did something similar I forget what it was but gave me a full refund
On bandapp ordering from cane trinh on overnight shipping a high rate doa. He reshipped but shrimp never bred for me.

The Ocean Blue Neo's I purchased from Erik Lucas (BuyPetShrimp) were excellent quality, and in excellent health. I had a previous negative experience with imported stock, and the difference in quality and health in Erik's shrimp was notable. He is a respected breeder, and international judge, and was recommended to me after I had a negative experience with another vendor. I will be purchasing from Erik again when I stock my Sensei Stone tank.

I’m easy, reds would be great. Not looking for expensive exotic. For me the big thing I’m looking for is hardiness, adaptability to my water parms: gh 8, kh 3, and medium co2.
And I’m looking at it not be from Buce Plant. They shipped me 20 shrimp with zero insulation and the water they shipped in had a GH of 23!
@mrmoss it’s not really hijacking if you’re asking where to buy shrimp. Hope you find a good seller
Errly Aquatics has those parameters, as does DansFish. Both are great to work with, can't speak to hardiness yet
Shrimpy Business in Seattle has them, imported not home bred I think but Gwen is very responsive to questions

@Phish Tank as soon as I get back from vacation, I plan on ordering from Errly. They are close enough for me to pick up, so maybe not exactly the info you need, but I'll let you know if they are hardy, how they do, etc.
I have a tank with cherry's breeding like rats can sell some later for sure . As im only few hours from you so shipping should be pretty fast id think 2 day max. I took the pic last week, there are burgundy red, normal red and some lighter reds. I see shipping around 15-18 with priority mail anymore. Don't know how many u want but figure 25+ be 45 with shipping if interested. WIll have storm of them in month I'm sure. I probably have 125+ now with so many pregos probably be 200 in a month. No co2 or frets dosing in scrimp tank just 1x week 30% water change/ gravel clean. Ill test waters sat and let u know GH and KH for sure. the ph usually 7,4-7,6 and temp 74-75
