Journal My $12 Aqueon 10 gallon journey from nothing.

Older leaves. All new growth is seemingly perfect, but starting to get an increasing amount of pinholes from about 2/3 of the way down the stem to the base. I’m using Thrive+ at about 90% of EI dosing. 1 point relative pH drop. Remineralizing RO with equilibrium to 3dkH so I’m getting some extra K and Fe. Everything else in the tank seems to be thriving under these conditions.

“I just sent you $$$ from our joint account so you can buy that fish tank. We might as well have one large fish tank instead of two small ones”

Those words just came out of my wife’s mouth.

Time to find the best deal on a 21-22 gallon long rimless tank.

Ask for a 120 gallon

Anyone have any insight as to whether the Crystal Lifegard Aquatics tanks are worth the extra $70-80 over the regular low iron clear tanks?
I think the difference you’d notice would miniscule unless you had both to compare side by side. Low iron period will always look nice.

I have a feeling the difference is negligible unless you know what you’re looking for. Picture for the night.

Stopped at the stormwater treatment area next to the bulk trash drop off site while unloading the Christmas refuse and found more variety than typical.

Lindernia dubia (these turn a beautiful deep purple/crimson brown under high light/co2).

Sorry y’all. I actually feel like an island down here, constantly in awe of the fauna. I’m sure anyone who saw me reach through the barbed wire fence around the airport property to take a picture of a stormwater retention area thought I was nuts lol.
