My new scape. It’s been a while. I’ve been busy finishing my novel. It’s published now so back to scaping.

It’s a classic triangular scape and I’m calling it Quantum Entanglement. It’s a working title, so I might change that. Sorry mods.

The real star is the light. Off Amazon for around $130. Fully controllable with a remote. Great value. https://amzn.eu/d/0eRX5eCo

I want to plant it with mainly buces and small anubias spp. on the rocks and wood and MC carpet, with some crypt nevellii or C. X Willisii, and stauro in the shady parts and maybe a ludwigia mini super red highlight behind the last rock on the left.

Thanks @HardeeParty. And me too.

Used to run an Radion Ecotech FW. But they stopped supporting it. Never did like that you had to go online to programme it.

Source point spots adds another dimension to a scape. Especially one like this with a lot of rocks and wood. Love the glitter lines and the stark shadows.

Only downside is a potential hotspot in the centre where the intensity is brightest. But this looks to have a good dispersion lens.

Thanks @Rob23 No it’s whisper quiet. But I’ve only had it on low. That said, I set up 2 on a 4 ft scape for my son and they’re really quiet and cast an incredible light. Fish and plants pop. By the way there’s no conflict of interest. Just my opinion.

I'm curious to see how this light works. I tried to find something similar over here. THIS might be it, but the wording is different.
I've always be interested in the Kessil lights, and I hear they are amazing, but you always feel like it's one spotlight and maybe limited or something. I don't know.
Looking forward to your scape!

Are you just going to leave us hanging? We need details. ;)
Bless you. Thanks for asking. It’s called The 13. It’s a dark modern espionage conspiracy thriller. By Curzon-Gamble. My pen name.

It’s available from all online bookstores. I’m proofreading the physical copy atm. Before the first print run.

Meanwhile the Anazon Kindle version is here THE 13 eBook : Curzon-Gamble: Amazon.co.uk: Kindle Store

The Kindle sample is a bit disjointed but it gives a wider picture across the entire book.

Thanks @BenB That looks like it. When I bought the Radion the Kessil was the alternative. Seems that stood the test test of time, like VHS vs Betamax. But Kessil is super expensive now. These perhaps could be called Chinese knock offs but so far they work really well.

These lights are the MD fish tank lights he loves and links in his videos for the UK and US links. They have a pretty long track record.
I've watched some of his videos. He seems pretty cool.
He's the first person I saw doing a non CO2 tank with higher light. I was skeptical, but then Sudipta Shaw talked about it at the AGA in 2024.

Yes that’s right. It’s where I first saw them used. Must have been a few years ago now.

It’s entirely possible to do high light and non CO2. I’ve done it myself and got great results. A long time before MD. Keeping nutrients locked up in the substrate and good husbandry helps enormously. As does dense planting.

Check out my Soil Substrate tutorial. It also predates MD. His method is very similar 🙂

Truly amazing, Tim. Congratulations!!
