Location Map

Our forum is growing with member locations all over the world! On another forum I used to belong to, they had a map with everyone’s location pinned. I can’t remember if you could place your own pin or if it was automatic, but it was really neat to see where in the world we were and how spread out, plus how the pins multiplied over the years.
I think it would be fun to have that here, if possible.

Nice one, love the idea. Would it only register locations if you put precise enough info in I assume?. For example just putting the US wont register but adding say New Orleans, LA or similar would?

It allows you to drag-n-drop your pin for a more precise location. Mine was off by about a 45 minute drive. It's cool. Hoping to see a lot more in the midwest and between KC and Denver.

Ha, I moved my pin to the middle of my city instead of my home address. That's close enough, thanks! It's a neat feature though.

Yes, it has mine in a creek, and I just left it there. I think knowing the city is enough.

It uses IP for location and it’s not terribly precise, usually. You can move you’re pin.

The program is processing 100 IPs daily to minimize site impact. It will take some time to capture our full membership.

I've taken down the current member map because it is producing too many reserver errors. Looking for a better alternative. Stay tuned.
