Thanks, I'll order the DC pump for a start and can play around with different configurations and If I don't find it efficient or whatever, I can easily then order the netlea pre-filters.

Yeh don't mind moving the FX a short distance. Actually, the 25MM hosing wouldn't be an issue I don't think in this setup either. Would just need a nicer inlet pipe and tubing and the outlet should connect straight onto the pump. Then the 16/22 tubing on the outlet side of the pump..

BTW, Netlea makes a prefilter that takes 25mm tubing (even though it's listed as 22mm). You just need hose clamps, but it was amazing for flow.
