Help to eliminate algae

Hello everyone!
I need a help to eliminate green fuzz algae.
My tank s 1250l + 250l sump. (250cm x 70cm x 70cm)
My filration is 10000l/h pump and 2x maxspect XF330. Inside sump KOI filter mats.
My weekly fers 15ppm NO3, 2ppm PO4, 8ppm K, 0.3ppm FE, 0.1ppm Mn I dose daily.
Last 2 months, weekly water change 50%, before that once in 2 weeks.
CO2 start 3 hours before lights go on.
My lights 4x chihiros universal wrgb 1200, 24x Daytime Matirx Sun Pro modules. Light runs around 65%. Par at substrate at average 90-100 umol
My problem is I had blooming of fuzz algae on all leaves, probably baceuse I had lean dosing, since I increased ferts, trimmed and replaced infected plants, it became better.
But still i see fuzz algae on a lot of leaves, I`1m feeling that I will need to restart tank from 0.
Will appreciate all your advises!

That's not crazy strong lighting, so I don't think your light is overkill.

Years of experience have shown me that green hair algae types frequently happen from a lack of NO3 or CO2. Not always, just most of the time.
Short, fuzzy algae on edges of leaves is usually a sign of too long of a photo period (don't exceed 7-8 hours) or a lack of nutrients in the water column.

Long, skinny green strands are almost always (in my tanks at least) CO2-related issues.

So yeah, post pics and we can help!

Thank you for your answer. My photoperiod is 7 hours. I bought Hanna CO2 kit, grabbed water samples from different parts of aquarium. was showing 50 ppm everywhere. I decreased it, did testing for another 2-3 days from different parts of auqairum (bottom, middle, top, corners) 30 ppm everywhere. It is night currently here, I will post some photos tomorrow. Just to give more context, this was ongoing for couple of months, at some point I have decided to purchase ORP meter as additional help device. After connecting and calibrating it showed ORP around 180. I did big water changes, mass trimming of infected leaves, substrate vaccuming, moss removal. After that ORP increased to 350, now at averages ORP runs around 420-450.

Do you have this algae on all the new leaves or just old one ? Do you have any healthy growth ?

ORP most commonly stands for Oxidation-Reduction Potential (or redox potential) in science and water treatment. It measures a solution's capacity to either gain or lose electrons, indicating its ability to oxidize or sanitize contaminants. Basicalllt when you have a lot of organic/disolved organic ORP drops, which reduces oxidation.

Regarding new growth, this is a bit trick one.
As example I have Rotala Orange Juice and Ludwigia Super red, planted couple of week ago and they converted to fully submersed state and I will say new growth is very healthy. But I also planted AR mini and AR rosanerveg and still see algae on new leaves, this could be because they are still converting to submersed form, but not sure. I`m wainting light to come on, and will post other pictures as well.
Meanwhile I just got some SAE, maybe these guys will help me.

Good that the fast growers are algae free.
2 months seems a long time for conversion from emersed to submersed forms. Maybe these were planted more recently ?
It is also possible that the stems/leaves are going through a transition stress from the change from lean dosing to higher dosing.
You could just trim away all the old leaves/stems with algae and replant the healthy tops.
Do you use active or inert substrate ?

My overall take is that plants are highly adaptable and typically just need time to adapt to a new condition as long as the conditions are stable around them.

From what you have said

• Co2 is stable
• Lighting is stable
• Is your water hardness stable ? KH/GH ?
• Need to know if the nutrition is stable - do you know if your nitrate is stable through the week ?

---- i am not very familiar with DIY fert mix and use all in one - APT, Maybe someone else more familiar with the ratios can comment.

If these are all stable, then i think just repeating the trim replant cycle untill the alage does away would be the way to go. If you find algae appearing on newer leaves, then i think an algicide may not be a bad idea.

I just checked again, I planted them 4 weeks ago. KH-2 GH-6. 1 week ago i started to dose 100ml Easy Carbo daily

You seem to have fuzzy hair algae, which IME is a stress-induced algae. I mostly encounter it when there are pretty big repeated swings in nitrogen availability in my tank. Are you making sure that your daily levels of nitrogen in your tank are stable?

Just to make sure I understand, you dose 14 ppm weekly. Have you measured your nitrates at the end of the week to see where they land? What the accumulation is? Or do you run a zero bound system?

I did, it seats around 10ppm+, I have 16 grown angel fishes in tank, they also promote to N and P

Ok, that sounds good. I think the next step would be to check nitrates daily for a week to see if there are any wild fluctuations. Currently you have one data point at the end of the week. Also, because your nitrates sit at 10 ppm at the end of the week, do you redose to reach 10 ppm after your weekly water change? If all else is fine, I think you just need to wait it out by trimming and replanting.
