As a public service, why don't we start a list of quality retailers where hobbyists can purchase aquarium plants? This should help all of us when we need to go plant hunting.

I will update this first post with the current list of retailers that are recommended in the thread. I will list the number of upvotes next to each.

Please reply to this thread with your recommended aquarium plant seller BUT please see the rules below first.

Rules:
  • You can only recommend a retailer that YOU have purchased from.
  • Retailers cannot recommend themselves.
  • Silence is golden. If you had a bad experience with a retailer, please do not post here. Let's keep this thread positive and helpful. The quality retailers will bubble up to the top.
  • If the retailer you want to recommend has already been recommended, simply upvotethe post that is recommending them.
    • To upvote, simply click on the up arrow to the right of the post as shown in this picture

  • You can recommend from any country and I will list on the list. Just make sure you note what country they ship to.

I actually posted about this a little while back and there was some discussion on it.

I was all set to try reverse respiration when transferring plants from my bladder snail infested farm tank to the new tank. I ended up just simply giving a good rinse and inspection before the transfer. In that process, I did clean off some eggs. So far, I've only seen a few bladder snails appear in the new tank and I remove them as soon as I see them. I may still try the reverse respiration at some point since I have lots of seltzer water on hand.

As for Buceplant, I've ordered a lot from them, without quarantine, and had no issues.

Looks like they don't have TC plants. Do you quarantine plants from a new source ? or do bleach/h2o2 ? I have been sticking to TC plants from online source and only get non-tc plants from a LFS that i trust (and probably from users such as Burraqua who have great feedback).
S21 is a guy with a couple tanks in his house and a few in his garage. He grows some rare items and sells clippings. His tanks are immaculate. He's a nice guy. But not really a store in the usual sense. Just a guy selling his own stuff. I'm not saying he won't have some snails or algae, but the plants will be well grown. I received a couple things yesterday myself. :)

Not quarantine, but I run water in a sink with a clear white bowl, float them, and look for Utricularia. I'm amazed at how many people will send you plants full of it. I'd rather have snails than aquarium plant VD aka Utricularia.

Good feedback. As the write up on it makes this method sound like the holy grail for preparing plants.
Thanks for mentioning reverse respiration, never heard of it and just read up about it. They had a good video on it here Reverse Respiration

Seems legit but I am curious on how the carbonation will last. Doesn’t co2 just degass ? Meaning any seltzer should have a drop in co2 by 12 hrs. Also seems like there was a thread on this a while ago and several people commented on how some plants don’t like it. But thank you will plan on trying it with some of my plant trimmings to see what happens.

In my endless obsession to find certain plants, this place popped up. Ordered 2 plants and I’ll update how they come in. They have a nice selection and quite a bit of cultures.
How did your Glass Aqua order turn out?
