Assuming many here have seen UNS' Limited Edition tank line which is distinguished by having the back panel glass infused with a frosted blue color. Wondering if anyone had purchased one, seen one in person or just generally, what thoughts are from seeing them online? I'm still rethinking some of my earlier tank purchases both new and used, and considering selling a few of those for some different footprint tanks and have been intrigued by these but haven't seen one in person. Black Friday is getting close after all.

I am curious what others think. Personally, when I first saw them, my thoughts were that I would rather have the flexibility of a light screen, or a background I can change as the tank changes over time, rather than have the color be permanent to the glass. That said, two of my three current tanks have their lightscreens some shade of blue. Also, I am a bit twitchy about cyano right now, so not sure how I feel about a white base on the bottom of the tank potentially reflecting more light toward the sand 🤷‍♀️

There nice! just looked at some recently and I like the fact the blue is in the glass. I don't like that I cant change it later but its a nice color blue for sure. I see some using the led background behind it making a light blue and other colors. Id go with the led background myself so I can change it up later. Can go cheapo and get a blue frosted cling for rear for cheap so its changeable later.
why did the make the bottom white? I thought that was the box packing lol.

Not sure I personally understand the appeal. Yes, my light screen is almost always set to blue, but we rock purple often. White tank bottom? It's covered by substrate. What's the point?
I can only think of a couple valid reasons for the white bottom.
1) You're doing a bare bottom style scape with potted plants which might be a cool look.
2) Even if the bottom is covered with substrate, the front bottom glass edge might appear white, which some might find interesting?

These tanks also ship with a white leveling mat. I suppose if you have a white tank stand it would give it a more seamless look than the standard black mats (although the UNS mats are so thin I doubt you'd see them much anyway). A friend suggested that with a sand foreground, if you have fish that like to dig, the white bottom wouldn't disrupt the appearance as much if the sand was pushed back exposing the bottom of the tank? I like my plants to stay put, so tend to avoid fish that make it their life's mission to move substrate.
