Stand mounted light arm?

I'm on the hunt for a stand mounted light stand for my 120p + Hyperspot L. I've found a few options, but nothing spectacular. I figured I'd ask for info/ideas before I consider startting down the DIY route with some conduit type pipe. Ultimately, I can't bring myself to mount the light from the celling only for the cord to dangle down, but based on what I'm [not] finding, I might give in. I could in theory 3d print something to maybe obscure the cord, so that may be my ultimate fall back if this turns out to be a dead end.

WeekAqua - Mounts behind the tank, which would not be my first choice, but I would be willing to settle on it. I'm not finding anyone with it in stock and it's $300 landed from Alibaba.



ADA Solar - More the look I'm going for, but they're not intended to be used with a single light for a 120p, so I'd need 2, which is noted as discontinued (and $600 for a light stand sounds nuts)



ADA Solar Stand Option 2 - $729 + shipping just seems outrageous, even if it were in stock!


Liti Light Stand - Definitely the closest to the look I had in my mind. Seeing this made me wonder if a single 10 foot 1/2 tube of aluminum conduit could be bent in the same fashion of the multiple pieces of this stand (bending inspiration video here).

I used these on my 150p aquarium. The total came to about $100. The brackets that come with the stand are cheap and flimsy, so I had to buy better ones, and it only came with 2 hangers so I bought 3 sturdy clips for my lights.

That looks great, but I'm specifically on the hunt for something that doesn't mount to the rim of the tank and instead mounts to the stand.

I really liked the Liti Aquarium stand and was about to purchase it, but the overseas shipping from Singapore ($80) was going to cost more than the product itself, so I ended up not getting it. I'm with you on not wanting light stands that fasten onto the glass. Looks cluttered and I'm worried a bump will break the glass. The manufacturer is fairly responsive to social media dms, so you could reach out to ask if it would support the weight of the Hyperspot. I did see reviews about the arm being a little flimsy for the heavier Chihiros models, so that’s a valid concern. However even with shipping it's probably the most affordable and aesthetic mounting option.

I was also browsing and came across this product: Cabinet Stand
It's a brand out of I think Hong Kong, and there doesn't seem to be an option to even purchase it, but the design is laid out plainly and it looks like a pretty elegant stand that could also be DIYd relatively easily.

I noticed that with the reviews as well. I'm pretty sure that hyperspot is on the heavier side. I don't think the Liti is designed for the larger tanks

I don't see why the bent Conduit wouldn't work. If I were building it to attach to the stand, for a single attachment point personally I'd overkill it a bit and drill a hole through the stand so I could mount it securely inside the cabinet, and use something like this on top:

If you are going with 2 attachment points on top of the stand, like something similar to the week aqua example, then you could probably get away with solely top stand mounting. Depending on what your top surface is, I'd use through bolts with lock nuts.
