Random Flow Nozzle

Has anyone tried these and if so what’s your opinion? I’m considering using these style outputs in the future because like reef tanks, we also need flow to reach all areas of the tank. I like the idea of not one set path but a wide spread. There seem to be a lot of variations of this style now too.

I haven't tried one myself, but I'd be interested to hear if they work as claimed. If you've got access to a printer, why not give it a go and report back with a review? There are .stl files here.

Some research on YouTube indicates that the printed models people are printing don’t seem to work as well.

Agreed, was just curious if anyone has tried them and their thoughts. I like my spray bar but I’d like to eventually go to something less intrusive in the tank

So long as I have flow in all parts of the tank I am happy. It doesnt need to be random.

To me the spray bar works.

I suppose placing the spray bar on the back bottom of the tank spraying up could work nearl as well at inducing circular flow. Once it gets to the top it only really has 1 direction to go…. And at the bottom it would be less visible… but at the cost of inconvenience of servicing it.
