These plants have been sitting in this container in the dark for 9 days. They are still wet, but the container isn't 100% air tight.
Plants look great. They are crispy and green. I removed them from the tank on Oct 11. It's Oct 20.
I haven't had a chance to do hardly any tank maintenance since my trip, but I needed to get some stuff out to make room for some tc plants I ordered.
I thought someone might want some of this, so I put it in this container, and was going to offer it all up if I thought I'd have time to ship. (Too late now)
I can't believe how long they've lasted.
So if you need a way to store some plants for a few days. This might be an option.
Note: Both things were pulled up roots and all. If I had cut stems, they might not have lasted?

Amazing! At what temperature did you store them?
A couple of years ago, I put all my plants into a black plastic bag and placed it on a windowsill (it was winter, so it was cool there). They stayed like that for 7 days. Everything was fine, except for the Pogostemon erectus. There was a little bit of water in the bag with that plant, and it almost completely rotted away. I managed to plant the only remaining bit—literally a 1 cm tip—and it took root. So, it’s important to emphasize that there shouldn’t be any water in the container with the plants.

Room temperature. They were on the counter of the guest bathroom that is only used for aquarium water testing.
I was gone this weekend, so I let the house temp go down a bit, but most of the time just regular ~72F
There was no standing water in the container. So like your bag, that probably prevented some rotting as well.
