I have this pH tester. You're supposed to keep the probe wet in a specific preservative solution between uses. I have the correct solution. The problem is that it dries out so quickly. I go months between using it, and it dries out. Does anyone have an idea on how to keep it wet? I'm going to put a small piece of sponge in the bottom of the cap and see if that helps.

Don’t use a sponge, as it doesn’t just need to stay wet, but specifically needs the KCl saturated solution to keep the membrane healthy.
If it is drying out it points to not enough solution in the cap. Could you store it in a plastic container with solution in it, cap off and a cut out in the container lid for the pen body?

I'm putting enough solution in the cap that it squirts out when I snap the cap on. So there is plenty in there. It just dries out in between.

I'll try to think about how I could do that. Would use up a ton of the storage solution as it keeps drying out of the container. I have some narrow plastic wrap. Might could seal the cap onto the pen between uses.
