Hey everyone,

I figured instead of filling up my planted tank journal I would start a new one to keep updates for the fishroom and other non-planted related aquatic topics here instead. I figured this would not get nearly as many hits but thats okay. I just want somewhere I can track all of this.
I am up to 13 tanks in the fishroom with a total of 35 now going in there, mind you this room is a little under 7ft x 10ft.

I will continue to update pictures in the coming days. Enjoy!!

Gastrodermus pygmaeus(Pygmy cory) eggs!! I counted 44 of them
I’m so jealous! I’ve been trying to spawn them forever. There are scuds in the tank with them and I think that’s my issue. But I have Aspidoras fry at the moment that are doing great.

Keep us posted on their progress!

So I have a group of 8, on a 10gallon by themselves. I just started feeding them frozen bloodworms and frozen tubifex worms once a day.

What kinda aspidoras? Aspidoras are awesome. I have cf. Albater, we believe them to be true Albater but I won't classify them as such since we arent sure.

They were sold to me as spilotus (c 125) from Small World Aquatics. I’m not really sure what they are but they’re fun to watch.

I started with around 60 eggs but only 40 or so hatched. They are in a breeder box like yours. A little sand on the bottom, leaves, and moss. Not sure how many are there but they’re super active at two weeks old. Eating bbs and microworms.

I had spilotus/raimundi, texhnically the first cory baby ive ever had. Problem with aspidoras is they are extremely difficult to identify, collection data on them is extremely important.

I love the aspidoras genus they are all very active and are not shy at all. Seem to be extremely easy to spawn as well. Here is the female of my a. Cf. Albater young adults:

I have lined up albater and fuscoguttatus with collection location from a very well known cory breeder.

I knew when I got these that I was probably not going to know exactly what they were. I’m ok with that as I just wanted a smaller cory-like active fish.

That’s awesome. I have plain old aeneus, Pygmy, and habrosus. I know this a scape-centered site but I’d love to follow your breeding projects here.

I plan to keep my breeding projects here as well, mostly cories currently Even if they dont draw the attention that it would on another forum. Its easier for me to keep everything on here as I check it pretty much once a day.

Nothing wrong with that. Habrosus can be difficult to come by I would like to pick up a group.

I am up to 20 species. I had 21 but lost my juvenile CW038's I plan to get a new group of these though. I know someone breeding them and they are a sweet scleromystax. I have a mix of super common/easy to bred and rare/more difficult to breed species.

3 of there tanks have schooling fish too. I have a MFF of Kali Tawa rainbows and another with MF Praecox rainbows with collection data from Gary Lange. Along with some leopard danios. I am going to get some tetras to spawn, thinking about what schools of fish I want to swap between in my 180gal dutch tank haha.
