Pogostemon stellatus Dassen

I got this plant as p.stellatus thinking it was the octopus variant, but I think it is the Dassen but not 100%. It takes a bit of time to grow whenever I move it or replant it. But once it starts growing it is beautiful, but little large though. I used to have it before I got co2 and good lighting and it did not fare well and never showed the purple highlights. Some pics.

I don't get the pink tips effect often, and it soon reverts to yellow again. Nice plant as a large bush nonetheless. Once trimmed, mine will take a while before growing back into shape, look awesome for a while then grows too long again. A bit frustrating also is its messy weedy growth, shading other species. I guess in a nature aquarium it would be a great choice behind wood or something, but in a fully planted tank I'm considering pogostemon erectus instead (forgot the actual name).
