News Journal thread reminder emails

Hi,

I am testing the journal reminder email system. You may receive an email today saying you haven't posted in your journal in a while and asking you to consider posting.

First, it's not a lie. You actually haven't posted in a while. Tsk tsk.

Second, please disregard. I had no other way to test than to let one email rip. We have a way to turn these off and I'll explain more once it is fully operational.

System is now operational. Why? Well... because you asked. One of our most popular suggestions.

ScapeCrunch will now give you a gentle email nudge reminding you to post an update on your Journal thread if, and only if, you have not posted in the thread in more than 60 days.

The idea behind this is a good one. We all get busy and forget to post in our journals. It happens. Sometimes, a friendly reminder is very welcomed and will help keep us up to date with things.

However, if you ever do not want to get this reminder, you can turn it off by doing the following. Go to your Account Details page.

The scroll to the option that says "Receive email reminders to update your Journal thread and uncheck it. That's it!


PLEASE, PLEASE make sure you add your Journal thread URL to the field in your account details. If you don't do this, the system doesn't know which journal is yours!
