Any worthwhile wifi producing device should put out 2.4 and 5.0 by default under the same name and pw.

All devices will connect automatically to the ghz they require.

Examples, ubiquiti and tp link omada
While I agree with you, this particular device clearly isn’t on the same level as most of the stuff out there. I’ve been reading reviews and some have mentioned it will not work on newer mesh style routers, which is what I have. Any way around this?

Alrighty, did a clean and WC yesterday. I did a big removal of all my moss and thinned it out, but just prior to that I had some die off on my fern and the hardscape area was just ripe with detritus and decaying matter. All of this contributed to a ton of waste and got an aggravated stint of filamentous diatoms. A few days of blackout helped keep it at bay and then a good siphoning all around the tank and it’s all but gone. We’ll see if it makes a come back during the week. I also cleaned my sump, something I haven’t done in MONTHS so hopefully that helps too. Still rearranging stems so it doesn’t really look full back there at the moment. I got some nice rotala, Ludwigia, limnophila, and Salzmani from @Jhardee85 and look forward to that stuff taking off and finding a more permanent spot.

Fish wise I acquired 5 new juvenile peacock gudgeons and they are doing well, exploring the scape. They are hard to find and get a picture so I snagged one that was resting.

Looks clean and tidy..

Did you disturb or syphon any of the substrate? What was your method there?
I use a gravel vac on the sand all around the hardscape. I lightly gravel vac the surface of the planting area, just enough to remove surface detritus and any really dirty sand.

After removal, how did you re-attach all your moss? It looks very natural and grown in already!
Patchwork 😅 I just use super glue gel, the mats are pretty dense so I just thin out the dead layer underneath (which is minimal) and the. Reattach tightly so it appears as how you’ve described 👍🏻

Having some algae issues, prob post more details on that tomorrow when do my maintenance.

Anyway, I had a good day when I refilled my gas. I went to a new gas distributor and the clerk was fantastic. He advised me the couldn’t refill my 15lb but he’d swap it for a 20! Even better, the swap was $33 which is even cheaper than if I was to have the 15lb refilled! I made an account as well which locks in my rate, with the 20lb I won’t be back until prob next year around the same time! A little win for me 😁

Ok so took me several days to post the details lol. So I have been having some issue with excess organics to the point that filamentous diatoms were accumulating heavily at weeks end at the top of the wood where I had moss growing. This in turn was resulting in flow from being disrupted, and any floating debris would get stuck up there. I decided to remove a chunk of the moss up top to free up flow and keep it from becoming a collection spot. Since doing that, I love that some wood is now exposed and it actually looks “cleaner” IMO and more natural. I did a good vacuuming, trimmed any heavily algae affected leaves, and vacuumed the sand like I usually do. I also came to the realization that while I do enjoy the hardscape and epiphyte dominance, the fern bushes were actually taking up WAY too much viewing space. I thinned the bushes heavily and any extra long leaves that would impede the viewing of the stems in the background. I wish I did this sooner, but I loved how healthy and bushy the fern had gotten. After trimming, I realized just how thick it had gotten and even found a bunch of completely brown/dead leaves. Talk about hidden decomposing matter, the silent killer. Its been several days and the tank looks good, no signs of algae returning at the moment. I also changed the lighting schedule and intensity when I changed to the WiFi/bluetooth dimmer, I was running 100% for 8 hours which clearly was too much. I’ve kept the same hours, but I reduced the intensity to 75% from 4:30 till lights off at 9, we’ll see how that works. The left side of the tank is still a little bare while I figure out what I wana do. IMG_1185.jpegIMG_1184.jpegIMG_1187.jpegIMG_1186.jpegIMG_1183.webp

I'm curious who you are using? I use Airgas here and it cost me $23 for 10# swap. I do want to see if I can upgrade them to 20# next time I go in.

Robert’s Oxygen.

In the past I’ve had my own personal tank refilled at a local fire safety company. The options for refill here are slim, it’s all swap.

Ah definitely a local place then. If I had one of those shiny aluminum tank I'd want to refill but I don't and the tanks I've been getting from Airgas have been in very good condition. There is also only one place in my area that refills which is also a local fire safety company, problem is they aren't open on weekends and are quite a bit out of the way to go to during the week and they close early. The Airgas is literally a mile down the road from work and on the way home, so I just bring an empty with me and swap afterwards. $33 for the upgrade isn't bad at all. a 20# swap was only like $28 and that's one reason I want to upsize. That and I would like to not have to swap tanks every 2 months.

Any ideas on how to correct? It’s a fuzzy green algae. Obviously the plants are unhappy, I’m thinking maybe something is wonky with CO2? I’m quite lean on micros, maybe .2 Fe as proxy at the beginning of the week and I barely add .1 once or twice a week of DTPA/Gluconate combined in solution.

Even in disaster, the Anubias has two flowers 😂

You know, I might try to keep things as stable as possible and maybe do some extra maintenance for a while? If there's nothing obviously wrong with your fundamentals unyielding consistency and cleanliness can work wonders (and conversely constantly tweaking stuff can be counterproductive).
You’re probably right. I did recently mess with the flow output of pump and idk why I did that. I think I’ll boost it back up and also open up the holes in the spray bar so I get the GPH but not the jet stream that can come with it.

Consistency is my problem, and it’s been detailed in this journal. I find that after maintainence I get it back to looking pristine but within a week it’s back to a mess. Honestly if I could be more consistent WEEKLY I’d prob be in a better place. Life doesn’t make it easy though.
